Yin Mei’s work philosophy over the last 14 years is to always understand the problem and the impact business changes has on people, followed by designing solutions that keeps people at the heart of it – meaning keeping it simple and visual as it always reaps the most impact. She started out in the frontlines of customer service as a cabin crew with Singapore Airlines and gained deep empathy for the importance of human-centric designed processes. She subsequently joined PwC as a management consultant and gained vast experience in areas that include analysing data to identify root causes of business problems, process improvement, stakeholder management, organisational behaviour management to sustainability studies. Following that she was a lead innovation culture driver and change practitioner in Singtel. Safe to say, she will be able to relate practical case studies from clients in the private and public sector across multiple industries. Having deep experience with Stakeholder Management and a passion for Visual Design, she has gone on to learn about User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) design to continue to stay relevant in the Gig Economy. To that end, she also hustles as a self-taught Fashion / Product Designer applying Design Thinking methodologies. As she continuously hones her tailoring / sewing skills, she teaches them to those keen to learn in her spare time.
