Chris has been a principal safety, risk consultant, senior HSE and risk manager for more than 30 years. He specializes in safety, risk, technical projects and operations management within upstream and downstream oil and gas industry (production, drilling, seismic, engineering, onshore petrochemicals plants, vessel operations); and mining in UK, Europe, Middle-East, Australia, and Southeast Asia

Chris has led many key projects in oil/gas and mining with companies such as The British Petroleum Company (BP), Royal Dutch Shell, Chevron, BHP Billiton, Exxon Mobil, MACA Limited, Papuan Oil Search.

His main skills include safety and risk management systems and standards, offshore safety case, hazard identification, performance standards, operational reviews and audits, strategic planning, transforming safety culture, operational support, managing change, leadership and safety intervention strategies.

Chris has led several high-profile operational safety reviews due to a Major Accident Event at Longford gas plant and BHP Billiton iron ore operations.
